Minor Blues Pentatonic Scale
f

Minor Blues Pentatonic Scale - This scale isn't a mode of the major scale, but most definately is the most used scale in rock music. A simpler form of this scale is the minor pentatonic scale, which is the same scale without the 4th note added.

Guitar Playing Tip - Pentatonic scales form the very foundation of the music of most of rock and roll's most influential players, including Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, and Eric Johnson, just to name a few.
